Halo: Flashpoint Event: Kansas City FIESTA MADNESS

We will be holding a standard 4 round tournament with the OP Rules and Balancing available at the time. Schedule and Game Types are TBD, and subject to change based on Mantic point and mode updates before August 15th. 

Tournament Structure:

Construct a 200-point Fireteam using the HALO FLASHPOINT APP on the Mantic Games website. (If using our Fiesta Rules, please read the bottom of this event page)

All current models and rules are being used.  Players are expected to bring their own models, tokens, dice, cards, and a copy of your army list. In addition, pay $10 to Game Cafe and let the Tournament Organizer (TO) know you have arrived. The TO will check you in on the Tournament app.

Schedule:(These times are subject to change based on match speed and if players elect to shorten breaks between rounds)

• Registration/Round 1 Pairings: 10:00 am
• Round 1: 11:00 am to 12:30 pm 
• Lunch: 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
• Round 2: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm    
• Round 3: 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm    
• Round 4: 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm    
• Prizes/Awards: Immediately following end of round 4

Gametypes will be randomly determined on the day of via dice roll from the Season 1 Husky Game modes. 

Fiesta Rules

In addition to the standard podium, we will be having optional side quests for players who wish to participate in a FIESTA random list competition. Players who do not wish to participate will not be impacted in any way outside of possibly playing opponents with lists created with these restrictions.

Players will first send Craig M. a notice via the Kansas City Mantic Discord or email ([email protected]) that they want to take part in the Fiesta aspect of the tournament. They may specify they want to use a UNSC/Banished list or let me decide.

TO will generate 2 lists for everyone who has opted in. Players may choose either list, but they must choose it at that time so I can record it.

The list will follow these rules:

• The list will be made up of 3 models totaling no more than 155 points.
• The list will be legal (no ODST Captain with Tactician Spartans, No doubles of the same Legend, No triples of standard units)
• No Master Chief or Atriox due to point constraints (if you want to build an MC list, you gotta do it yourself).
• These lists will be generated 100% at random via an Excel Spreadsheet by the TO. If a list is not legal or under 155 points upon the first generation, it will be rerolled until a valid one populates.
• If a player does not own a model from their list, the TO or one of our generous members should be able to provide one for rental or determine a suitable substitution. 

After the lists are generated, players can do whatever they like with the remaining 45+ points. This includes additional models or any of the additional items from the list builder in the app (it must still be a legal 200 point list).

The fun part! Here is what you are competing for if you participate with a Fiesta random list:

• Every fiesta player will get a special Achievement Dog Tag to go along with the standard participation tag for the event.
• There will be random prizes for Fiesta players. Some silly, some valuable, all chosen at random. (Exact prize support and how it will be distributed still TBD, but everyone who plays will get a prize).
• Additional details will be made available in July depending on how many participants we get.
